Six fighters, who were part of a 45 strong Irish team, competed at the Unified World Championships in Tuscany in Italy. The Unified World Championships is the world's largest martial arts tournament, attracting thousands of competitors each year from 120 countries. The Galway fighters took a total of five gold, four silver and five bronze medals after fighting the best kickboxers from around the globe.
